Images from the ‘Exterior Company Portfolio’ Era

Before I pivoted into actual Real Estate Photography in Colorado Springs, I worked as a photographer and marketing consultant for many years in the area. Most of my work was done for Exterior Renovation companies–painters, roofers, stucco companies, etc.

I’ve included some of those images in my real estate photography portfolio to show my experience in portraying the beauty of these homes and the work that had been performed on them.

Mostly exterior, sometimes interior.

These are somewhat different than photos typical of real estate photography in the sense that in real estate, photography follows a particular format. When taking pictures for MLS and the realty industry, I must be careful with ‘verticals’, stick to expected shots that are proven and typical of listings, used blended brackets, etc.

When taking photos of homes for Exterior company portfolios, I used more creativity, and applied varied angles and crafted more unusual compositions.

So if you’re a realtor wondering why these following images look a little different than what you’re accustomed to seeing in your market, that’s why.
